ARALANET E-LEARNING GATEWAY

Introduction

Aralan is a word in the Philippines to mean "a place to study or to learn."

This is an open content project to realize the use of computer applications and Internet technologies in the delivery of instruction and learning to all, anywhere and anytime.

It provides the @ON-LINE LEARNING GATEWAY to properly utilize the Internet access services available in the community e-centers, Internet cafe, computer laboratories, computer shops, and home based computers to deliver instruction and learning to everyone, anytime, and anywhere.

The AralaNET project advocates the principles of not-reinventing the wheel, aligning technology to meet the educational, service and business outcomes of the varied users, and the implementation of cost effective and easy to use tools. It calls for discovering, planning, realizing and evaluation of e-learning projects based on global best practice standard in content and technologies.
